How to go from the airport to the center of Prague

Prague International Airport, located about 20 kilometers from the city center, about half an hour by car and public transport, has several options for transfer to the city center:

  • Bus: There are several urban lines such as the 119 that leaves you at the Nádrazí Veleslavín metro station, the 110 at the Zličín station, 179 and 225 at the Nové Batovice station and the 510 that operates at night, all for a price of one euro the path You also have the Airport Express bus that connects the two terminals of the airport with the central train station (Hlavní nádrazí) in about 35 minutes for just over 2 euros. From the metro stations you can reach your nearest metro stop to the hotel.
  • Cab: It is an expensive service, between 20 and 30 euros depending on the area you go to and not to take surprises, it is best to ask the price before getting into the taxi, showing you the address of the hotel.
  • Direct transfer to the hotel: This is the most comfortable way to go from the airport to the hotel, in addition to having a very tight price. The driver will wait for you at the airport with a sign with your name and you will only have to worry about enjoying the trip. You can book it here.

Accommodation for Prague in 2 days

During this trip to Prague in two days We recommend a central accommodation. We were at the Archibald City hotel, with a perfect combination of quality and price. It is located very close to Wenceslas Square, 15 minutes walk from the Old Town Square in Prague, the city center. The hotel has breakfast, parking and 24-hour reception.

Another of the best tips for Prague, if you do not want to pay commissions when withdrawing money from ATMs and always have the current exchange, is to use the N26 card to pay and the BNEXT card to take money, our two favorite cards for travel.

Prague guide in one day

The first day of the Prague tour in 2 daysWe suggest you go very early to the Old Town Square, the most famous place in the city, which is full of tourists and organized groups as the day progresses.
Here you can see the Astronomical Clock of the fifteenth century, located in the Old Town Hall, the most beautiful in the world according to our opinion that is the jewel of this square. Keep in mind that every time the clock marks an hour, there is a small parade of figures representing the twelve apostles, so try to square your visit with this moment, as it is one of the most important in the city.
